Spinal Alignment Class
By Eloise Del Matto
A healthy spine can move in 6 directions, but due to injury, overuse, fatigue, or disease, movement can be lost over time. Spinal Alignment class helps recover movement in easy to remember, gentle, and repetitive movements. These movements are done on a floor mat or massage table using leverage from legs, arms, diaphragm, and head. The goal is to move in identical ways to the left and right and to move without strain or speed. The path to alignment is ease of movement, and the path to ease is awareness. Done on a daily basis, this method will train the mind to think in terms of leverage and the body to move in ways that prevent injury and increase balance and coordination. I have fun teaching this class. It is very relaxing and challenging at the same time.
